Born in Ptery , Greece 5 May 1890 to Constantine Katasanes . Immigrated to NYC 7June 1907 to 84 Purchase Street in Rye , Westchester,  NY . Enlisted in US Army Company B , 305th U S Infantry 16 April 1919 . Honorable discharged at Camp Upton on Long Island on 24 April 1919 Private 1st Class. Was granted U  citizenship for war service by NYS SUPREME COURT on 8 May1919 . Returned to brother Andrew Cachaounis, my relative , as a candy maker . His brother Nicholas Cachaounis died while in the Army , unk. which country or branch asin a translated letter written to Peter brother Constantine. Here's listed as 5 ft 8 in with brown eyes and black hair .
