Thomas G. Nordmann was born on February 21st, 1929 in Westchester County, NY. At the time of the 1940 census, Thomas was living with his mother Dorathea, his father Clarence and his siblings Beatriz and John. Their family home was located on a street that no longer exists. The land is now occupied by the building that formerly held Mrs. Greens. In 1940, Thomas held a job as a mail carrier (likely a newspaper route) in addition to attending elementary school. Thomas attended high school in Harrison, NY where he participated in the rifle club, the baseball team, and the marshall club (they directed traffic in the hallways). He graduated in 1948 as a part of a vocational program that Harrison High School offered. During the Korean War, Thomas served in the U.S. Army - 3rd Infantry Division. Thomas Nordmann passed away just months ago on April 2nd, 2020.
