Alfred P. Gardiner

Alfred P Gardiner was born on May 2, 1913, in New York City, New York, to Adele Radway Troup, age 33, and Alfred Peter Gardiner, age 48. He had a brother Charles and two sisters Adele and Mabel.

In Rye his family lived at 66 Milton (Blindbrook Apartments) Road and were members of Christ's Church.

Alfred attended the Lawrence Smith School and Hackley School. Richard George Radway, founder of the Radway Company, was his great-grandfather.

He married Helen Maria Buchanan on February 4, 1941, in Greenwich, Connecticut. They had two children during their marriage

Alfred enlisted in 1942 and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

After the war Alfred worked as a stock broker in NYC. He started a family and resided in Greenwich, CT.

He died on August 24, 1977, in Greenwich, Connecticut, at the age of 64.
