Anthony F. Gagliardo

Anthony F. Gagliardo was born in New York on May 13, 1918 to Frank and Grace Roberto Gagliardo. He had four brothers and three sisters and he was raised and educated in Rye. In Rye his family lived on 107 Maple Avenue and were members of the Church of the Resurrection.

Anthony Francis Gagliardo enlisted in the Army on March 12, 1942, in Yaphank, New York, during World War II. He was 23 years old. He was seriously wounded in action in August 1944.

His brother Samuel P. Gagliardo was killed in 1944 in the battle for the Hurtgen Forrest.

He had two sons and two daughters with Carol Cynthia DeHaan.

Anthony F. Gagliardo died on May 21, 2001, in Stamford, Connecticut, at the age of 83, and was buried in Connecticut.
