When Dr. Anthony Vernon Sisca was born on April 15, 1908, in Harrison, New York, his father, Angelo, was 34 and his mother, Rosina, was 23. He married Margaret Ella Lentz on March 31, 1936, in District of Columbia. They had two children during their marriage. He died on February 17, 1971, in his hometown at the age of 62. In Rye his family lived at 195 Purchase Street. Anthony served as an officer in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.

Lt. Anthony V. Sisca, Medical Corps, a peacetime physician of Rye, has been sent from Sheppard Field, Texas, to Carlisle Barracks, Pa. , to attend a medical field service school. Upon completion of the course, which will last approximately one month, Lieutenant Sisca will return to Sheppard Field for duty.

Dr. Sisca was a great man and an even greater uncle and the pride of the Sisca family. Thank you, Rye Vets, for honoring and remembering Uncle Tony! My brother Phil has passed along the article to our family.
