Henry Harper Forrest was born in New York in 1911. In Rye his family lived on North Street and were members of the Presbyterian Church. Henry enlisted in 1942 and served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II.

Forrest Rites Due Tomorrow Graveside services will be held tomorrow (Friday) at Oak Hill Cemetery in Ballard for H. Harper. Forrest, 59, of Santa Ynez, who died Sunday, Sept. 13 at the Santa Ynez Valley Hospital following a Jieart attack. The services will begin at 1 p.m. Rev. Ronald Holcomb, pastor of the Santa Ynez Valley Presby-teria Church, will officiate. Mr. Forrest was born in Rye, N.Y., May 17, 1911. He was educated In New York, and lived in Santa Barbara County for 22 years. He and his family resided in the Valley for three years. During World War II, Mr. Forrest served with the U.S. Coast Guard. He had been employed by General Telephone Co. as an engineer, but was' retired. He is survived by his wife, Virginia; by three children, Mrs. Thomas Ostrom of Columbus, O., Richard Forrest of San Francisco, and Melinda Forrest 11, of the family home; and by a brother, John B. Forrest, and a sister, Mrs. Marie Morse, both living In New York state. Friends may contribute to the Santa Ynez School tree planting fund In his memory, the family announced.

Miss Edith M. Clark Bride Of Henry Harper Forrest Miss Edith May Clark, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John T. Clark Jr. of Rye, N. Y., and formerly of Brooklyn, was married yesterday afternoon to Henry Harper Forrest, son of Mr. and Mrs. Archibald Alexander Forrest of Rye. The ceremony was performed at the Clark resi dence by the Rev. James E. Goggins. A reception followed at the West- Chester Country Club. Miss Agnes Leen was the bride's only attendant and John Forrest was his brothei's best man. After a trip to Miami, Mr. and Mrs. Forrest will reside at Blind Brook Lodge. Rye. The bride is a graduate of Dana Hall, at Wellesley, and made her debut in 1931. Mr. Forrest is a graduate of the Hackley School. He is a grandson of Henry Harper Benedict of Southampton.
