  Howard Alexander Odell
Howard Alexander Odell was born on October 4, 1920, in Port Chester, New York, to Jessie Jamieson Shand, age 32, and John Edward Odell, age 30. He was the youngest of five siblings with two brothers John and Donald and two sisters Marion and Janet.
In Rye his family lived at 29 Meade Place and were members of the Presbyterian Church. Howard was a Rye High School Graduate, Class of 1938.
He enlisted January 9, 1942, in New York City, New York, when he was 21 years old. He served in U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.
 After the war, Howard returned to Rye and worked as a plumber. He reenlisted on March 26, 1953, when he was 32 years old and served in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Howard spent 20 years in the US Air Force and received a medical retirement in 1969.
He married Mabel V Butcher (Ardis) in Superior, Montana, on April 15, 1956, when he was 35 years old. She passed away in 1975.
Howard then married Louise L Owens where he was loved and blessed by an extended family of grandchildren and great-grandchildren
Howard Alexander Odell 71 of Boise died Sunday February 2, 1992 in a Boise hospital
 At the time of his death, survivors included his wife Louise of Boise, three sons Christopher C Owens, David B Owens and William E Owens and families all of Boise a daughter Judith K Stone and family of Boise two sisters Marion Foote and Janet Milne and families of Hebron Conn two brothers Donald Odell of Rye NY and John "Bub” Odell of Prescott Ariz and families many grandchildren many great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held at the Star Idaho Cemetery Military honors were be provided by American Legion Post 2 and VW Post 63
