Philip J. Peterson was born in New York July 3,1926 to Joseph and Catherine Petrucciano. He had five sisters and three brothers and in Rye his family lived at 73 Maple Avenue.


Philip was a Rye High School Graduate, Class of 1944. In school he was very active especially in sports playing football, baketball and baseball.

He enlisted in 1944 and served two years in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Phillip married Marie Minervino on May 27 1951 at St. Catherine's Church in Pelham, NY.

At the time of his marriage he was working in New York for the Columbia Broadcasting System.
