Mrs. Lizzie McCadden, 79, of 1242 Cedar Court, died at 10:22 a.m. Monday at General Hospital. She was a native of Hartsville, Tenn. Survivors include two sons, William B. McCadden of Rye, N.Y., and Edgar McCadden .four grandchildren, three greatgrandchildren ,and two great-great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Guiding Star Baptist Church, 2724 W. Walnut St., where she was a member of the Willing Workers Club. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. The body is at A. D. Porter & Sons Funeral Home, 1300 W. Chestnut St. Clipping location on The Courier-Journal page 35

He was born July 19 1913 to "Clarence and Lizzy Carter Me-' Cadden in Hartsville Tenn As a young child he and his family moved to Louisville Ky where he grew up and graduated from Madison High School

He married lAUlse Martin on July 20 1942 in Port Chester Later that year the couple moved to Rye Also that year he joined the U S Army and served in the military police until 1946

After the service the couple moved to Stamford Conn where Mr McCadden attended Wright Technical School and worked as a tool and die makeFMrith Pitney Bowes He retired in 19751n 1965- the couple moved back to Rye

He was a member of St Frances AME Zion Church in Port Chester In addition to his 'wife Mr McCadden is survived by three nephews of Louisville A brother Edgar! Dean Mc- Cadden and a sister Betty Lee McCadden died earlier

Arrangements are being handled by William H Graham Funeral Home in Rye"
