Tony sang in the 3rd Army Chorus when I was the pianist.  Great guy.  Tony was heavily scarred from being hit by a sapper charge and had been medi-vacced to a hospital in Japan where he was with a group of other burn victims  - they called themselves “Stitch and the Crispy Critters”.
