Cornelius A. Arley was born in Vermont in 1927. In Rye his family lived at 7 Berand Ave. Cornelius served as an officer in the Cadet Cornelius Arley, a student at Staunton Military Academy during World War II.

Arley, daughter f Mr. and Mrs. Paul Arley of Beech-ood Lane, has completed plans for : er marriage on March 25 to Sergeant Valter H. Brown, U. S. Marine Corps, >n of Mr. and Mrs. John McL. Brown i t Port Chester. Sergeant Brown is iame from thirty months overseas. The marriage will take place in the live Methodist Church with the Rev. J. Lane Miller officiating. A recep-I on will be held at the Westchester mntry Club. Miss Marie Hayman, of Rye, will be maid of honor. Miss Alda Olson, of Fort Chester, and Miss Eugenie Cooney, of Shaker Heights, Ohio, a classmate of Miss Arley at Lasell Junior College, will serve as brides- maids. Frank Miner, Jr. , of Port Chester, will be best man for Sergeant Brown. His brother, Donald Brown, and Cadet Cornelius Arley, a student at Staunton Military Academy, brother of the prospective bride, are to be ushers. Miss Arley is a graduate of Rye High School and will be graduated in formerly associated with the Daily Item, is a graduate of Port Chester HUii School. He enlisted in Decem-ber 1941 and was with the First Raider Battalion of the Marines in Hie Pacific Area. He saw action in the Solomons and on other Pacific islands. He is stationed at Quantico.

Dr Paul Cornelius Arley 32 died Thursday night in Yonkers N Y hospital after a long illness He was born in Montpelier April 18 1927 son of Dr Paul and Lulu (Dodte) Arley He was married to Barbara Jenkins daughter of Mr and Mrs Thomas Jenkins of North field Falls

The deceased was a resident of Eastchester for the past six years Survivors include his widow three small daughters Patricia Brenda and Donna also his parents Dr and Mrs Paul Arley one sister Dr Constance Brown of Old Greenwich Conn The deceased was a member of American Legion Post 93 of Port Chester N Y also Mamaro Lodge 863 F4AM He was a member of District No 1 Metropolitan Chiropractic Assn of New York the alumni association of the Chiropractic Institute of New York of the Vermont Connecticut and Florida Chiropractic Assns and the First Methodist Church New Rochelle N Y

He was graduated from Staunton Military Academy in Staunton Va Syracuse University and the Chiropractic Institute New York where he was a member of Lamda Chi Beta fraternity also a veteran of World War II having served in the U S Navy

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a m from the United Church in Northfield Funeral services will also be held on Monday in Port Chester N Y Burial will be made in Mt Hope Cemetery in Northfield i !
