Edgar Stoddart was born in Rye, New York on February 2, 1932. He attended Rye High School and lived at 15 Dearborn Avenue. He was raised by his mother Helen and Father Robert. Edgar was one of two siblings with a younger sister. He graduated was a part of the class of 1950 and following his years at Rye he attended The Citadel, a military college in South Carolina. He spent 4 years at The Citadel and graduated in 1954. Following he joined the U.S Marine corps. He fought in the Korean War with great honor and continued to spend 22 years of his life serving for the U.S Marines. After his retirement from the marines he became a Mayoral appointee for the City of Jacksonville, and was involved in industrial sales. After his working days were over he enjoyed activities such a s golf, traveling and reading. He married the love of his life, Joyce and they had 4 kids, Barbra, Carolyn, Bill and David. During the later years of his life he settled down in Brighton Bay In 2010. He lived there until he unfortunately passed away on September 3, 2011.

In the above info on Edgar, some is incorrect.  His parents were named Edgar and Isabel.  Also he had two younger brother, Tommy and Jimmy — with no sisters.
