Paul Gerardi Jr. was born in New York on 5/12/1928 and lived in Rye at 73 Maple Avenue. He lived with his mother Jennie, father Paul and was one of two siblings, with his brother named Leonard. He had lived in the same residence all his life, with his parents both growing up in New York themselves. His father was a bus driver and his mother was a double-needle operator at the Shirb Factory. Paul was a student at Rye High School for his academic career, graduating in 1948. While attending school, he was involved in multiple extracurriculars, such as clubs and sports, some being Stage Coach, Leading Club, as well as Varsity Baseball. Paul enlisted in the Korean War a couple of years after highschool and served in the U.S. army.
