William M. Cahn was born in Illinois in 1911. In Rye his family lived at 62 Lincoln Av, Purchase, NY. William served as an officer in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.
William was a graduate of Phillips Exeter Academy, class of 1929, and also graduated Phi beta Kappa from Princeton University in 1933. He served as a Major in the 94th Infantry Division during World War II. Lieutenant William M. Cahn. of Windcrest Road left yesterday for Fort Jackson, Columbia, S. C. Mrs. Cahn and their family will follow as soon as they find suitable accommodations.

William M. Cahn Jr., a resident of Purchase, NY died Tuesday October 16, 2001 at the age of 90. William's wife Margaret Millhauser Cahn, his son William M. Cahn III, five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren survive. Two sons, Stephen M. and Peter A. Cahn, predeceased him.
William was a graduate of Phillips Exeter Academy, class of 1929, and also graduated Phi beta Kappa from Princeton University in 1933. He served as a Major in the 94th Infantry Division during World War II. Professionally, he worked as an Investment Banker.
