Reese E. Howard was born in Denmark in 1925. In Rye his family lived at 270 Locust Avenue. Reese served as an officer in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.

Col. Graeme K. Howard, U. S. A. , is home from overseas. His son, Flight Officer Reese E. Howard, U. S. A. Air Corps, is home on leave for a family reunion in their home on Locust Avenue.

Reese E. Howard, son of Col. and Mrs. G. K. Howard, 270 Locust Avenue, received his wings and commission as an aerial navigator on Saturday at Selman Field, Monroe, La.

HOWARD -- Reese Evans,

''Old Dad'', died on Tuesday, November 16, 2004.

Husband, father of three, grandfather, friend, huntsman, horseman, chef, delighted all with his humor, wit and style.

He will be sorely missed by all but most especially by his wife, Jean Hiscoe Howard, his three children Rug Howard, Suzie Howard Oates and Catherine A. Howard, seven grandchildren, his stepchildren Hillary G. Ponti and Michael Graham, six step-grandchildren and two dogs.

A memorial service will be held in New York in the spring. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory should be sent to the Steeplechase Foundation, 400 Fair Hill Dr, Elkton, MD 21921.
