Constance E. Hagan

Constance E. Hagan was born on June 17, 1921, in Brooklyn, New York, In Rye her family lived on 297 Rye Beach Avenue and were members of the Church of the Resurrection. Constance lived with her father Peter, her mother Constance, and her younger sister Betty. Her father had a high school education, and worked as a publication printer. Her mother had a high school education, and was a homemaker.

Constance was a proud member of the class of 1938. In high school she played for the J.V hockey team. Constance also participated in numerous clubs, including the art club, drivers club, and stagecraft club.

After high school, Constance received a college education at Kent University and would enlist in the US army in October of 1943. In the Army she worked as a physical therapist and served as an officer during World War II. Constance totaled over 30 years of service, and achieved the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, before retiring from the service in March of 1973.

CONSTANCE ELEANOR HAGAN, of Honolulu, died on June 27, 1992. At the time of her death she was survived by her sister, Betty of New Jersey; and nephews; grandnieces and a grandnephew.

TRAINED AT WALTER REED, 1 YEAR. TREATED THE INJURED AT LAWSON CENTRAL HOSPITAL OCTOBER 1, 1943 TO END OF THE WAR. 2ND LIEUTENANT 10/1/43, 1ST LIEUTENANT 10/31/44. RETIRED FROM THE ARMY 3/31/73.
