Upon his return, he joined his father in running Tony's Service Station, his family's business, and continued to do so after his father's death.

He met Gloria Hintz as she ran across the station's gravel to try and catch a train to NY and broke the heel of her shoe. He came to her aid and the rest, as they say, is history. They were married in Rye, at the Church of the Resurrection, in 1952 and had been married for 64 years.

Patrick was very involved in the Rye Volunteer Fire Department where he was a Fire Warden. He was also a member of the Rye Golf Club and a devout parishioner at The Church of the Resurrection.

At age 45, he began a new career working for General Electric Credit Corporation. He was employed as a Systems Analyst and Designer for over 20 years at their headquarters in Stamford, CT, until his retirement in 1989.

He and Gloria relocated to Venice, Florida and built a new home in the Waterford Golf Club community, where Patrick perfected the golf game he so loved. He graciously and enthusiastically taught and passed on that love of the game to each one of his grandchildren.

He was at his happiest walking and playing the course with them and watching their progress. Patrick was a gentle man with a constant twinkle in his eye, love for life, and a kind word for everyone. He was a friend to everyone he met and will be deeply missed by those who knew him.
