Dean C. Smith was born in New York in 1915. In Rye his family lived at 33 Priscilla Lane. Dean served as an officer in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.

ALMA LEE SMITH passed away Thursday, March 18, 2010 at the age of 87.She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Dean Culver Smith. She is survived by her son Dick and wife Sandra, son Dean and wife Patti, her daughter-in-law Sharyn Smith, 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was a 60 year resident of Houston and a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church.Visitation will begin at 10am with the services to follow at 11am, Thursday, March 25, 2010 at Earthman Bellaire Funeral Home, 6700 Ferris St. Bellaire, TX 77401 (713)667-6505.
