BIOGRAPHY
 
Edward S. Wicks was born in New York in 1910. In Rye his family lived at 34 Dearborn Avenue; and were members of the Presbyterian Church. Edward enlisted in 1943 and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

EDWARD ''ED'' S. WICKS, 89, Stanwin Drive, Apopka, died Tuesday, Aug. 31. Mr. Wicks was owner/operator of a hardware store. Born in Ithaca, N.Y., he moved to Central Florida in 1981. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Apopka. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. Survivors: wife, Jane; son, Edward, California; daughter, Norma Lee DeRoberts, New York; five grandchildren. Baldwin-Fairchild Funeral Home, Apopka.
