BIOGRAPHY
 
John A. Dinardo was born in New York in 1924. In Rye his family lived at 48 Cedar Place. John enlisted in 1943 and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

John A. Dinardo Sr., Well Driller

John A. Dinardo Sr., of Brick Township, who used to live in Point Pleasant, died last Friday at Meridian Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Brick. He was 76 years old. He was a well driller with Eric Richmond, Point Pleasant, where he worked for more than 20 years. In addition, he co-owned the Stanwall Inn, Point Pleasant, with his mother. He belonged to the Point Pleasant Fire Company and was a member of the Sportsman Gub and the Pioneer Club, both in Point Pleasant.

He was an Army veteran of World War II and served in the Marine Corps Reserve. Born in Port Chester, N.Y.. he lived in Point Pleasant from 1954 to 1962, before moving to Howell, and later, Brick.

He was predeceased by his wife, Phyllis Bisignano Dinardo, in 1994. He is survived by a son, John Dinardo Jr. of Lake Oswego, Ore.; a daughter, Diane C. Smith of Howell; a brother, Robert Dinardo of Kendall Park; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
