BIOGRAPHY
 
Victor E. DeCicco

Victor E. DeCicco was born June 30, 1918 son of Vincent James and Madeline Bruno DeCicco. He had four brothers Frank, James, Harry and Salvatore and two sisters Florence and Mary.

In Rye his family lived at 12 Archer Place and were members of the Church of the Resurrection.

Victor was a Rye High School Graduate, class of 1939. In school he was a messenger, a junior coach and played baseball and basketball. Victor enlisted and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He married Dorothy Irene Michaud on June 9, 1943 in a ceremony performed by the Rev Father Eugene O'Sullivan at St Joseph’s Catholic Church in Fort Collins, CO. They would have three children during their marriage.

Victor was a disabled veteran of WWII. He was a boy scout leader for many years, and was a longtime parishioner of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church.

Victor DeCicco of Fort Collins, Colo. died December 26, 2010. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years Dorothy (Michaud) and his youngest son John.

At the time of his death he was survived by his sons Bob and his wife Pat of Greeley, Colo.; Jim and his wife Debbie of Mena, Ark.; and Tom and his wife Maryann of Wellington, Colo. He had 5 grandchildren as well as 4 great grandchildren.

Vic also had 2 cats who stayed by his side till the very end of his life.

Victor's family would like to thank the staff of Sterling House, Pathway's Hospice and Pet's Forever for their loving care particularly in his final days.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 9:30 am, Monday, January 3, 2011 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Interment to followed at Grandview Cemetery
