Elgin L. Thompson
Elgin L. Thompson was born on April 29, 1903, in Pelham, Ontario, Canada, to Clara (Moyer) High and John William Thompson. He was raised and educated in Canada and came to new York May 13,1938.
In Rye Elgin lived at 49 Palisade Road and was working for Rye National Bank.
Elgin enlisted November 20, 1942 when he was 39 years old. He served briefly in the U.S. Army during World War II and was honorably discharged April 13,1943.
Elgin returned to Rye and he married Helga A Watt on June 21, 1948, in New York City, New York. His wife Helga passed away on May 9, 1954, at the age of 49. Soon after Elgin moved to Suffern, NY and continued his banking career. He married Marjorie Conklin on April 27, 1963, in Ramapo, New York.
 Elgin L. Thompson, 70, of 21 Mile Road, Suffern, NY died January 16, 1974 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Suffern. A resident of the village for 25 years, he was a retired banker. He was survived by his widow, Marjorie E. Thompson of Suffern.
Services were held at the Wanamaker and Carlough Funeral Home with the Rev. Rudolph H. Wissler officiating. Burial was at the Brick Church Cemetery, Monsey, NY.
