5 of 5 Lifelong quartet of friends and family July 2, 2024

Lifelong dear friend starting in Milton School in Rye; NY1937 (Olly, me, Tom Goetz and Phil Urion).  We were united by a love of jazz and a sense of brotherhood that that remained throughout our lives.  Several of Balf's paintings hang on my walls in Iowa City where I taught, treated patients and did research for 36 years at the University of Iowa.  Phil Urion and I survive.
