Colin Crolly

Colin Crolly was born on July 20, 1904, in New York City, New York, to Emma Frances Van Winkle, age 24, and William Crolly, age 30. His mother passed away on December 2, 1910, in New York City, New York, at the age of 30, when Colin was six.

Colin and his brother William would be raised and educated in Brooklyn by their maternal grandparents.

His father would remarry to Clara Gruneau and they would have four children .

In Rye, Colin' s father and his half brother and sisters lived at 367 Oakland Beach Ave. Colin enlisted and served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was stationed at Stout Field, Ind.

Colin's half brother, Pfc Anthony P. Crolly was killed in action in Holland, September 17. 1944 during Operation Market Garden.

Colin Alfred Crolly died in May 1976, in Brooklyn, when he was 71 years old.
