Daniel B. Mc Afee was born in New York in 1919. In Rye his family lived on Greswold Rd, Harrison and were members of Christ Church. Daniel served as an officer in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.

Daniel B. McAfee, Salem Daniel B. McAfee, 80, of 3 Narrows Court, died Sunday, Dec. 19, 1999, at his home. He was a native of Rye, N.Y. and graduated from Lehigh University, where he was a member of Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity. During the war he served as a 1st Lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force. Most of his business career he was a Vice President of Teledyne Packaging in Chester, Pa. He retired in 1985 and moved to Salem, and was a member of Keowee Key Golf Club. He a member of Fort Hill Presbyterian Church in Clemson, Volunteer for Meals on Wheels in Oconee CountySalem for seven years, and ER Volunteer in Oconee Memorial Hospital. Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth R. (Betty) McAfee; and two children from a previous marriage, James R. McAfee of Warren, Vt., and Sally A. McAfee of Woodstock, N.Y. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 28, 1999, at 11 a.m. at Fort Hill Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. James Richardson officiating. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Foothills, 390 Keowee School Road, Seneca, SC 29672 or to Fort Hill Presbyterian Church, 399 College Ave., Clemson, SC 29631. Arrangements by Seneca Mortuary.
