Daniel Thompson Pierce

Daniel Thompson Pierce was born on April 28, 1907, in Manhattan, New York, to Hadassah Hamilton "Dessie" (Hellen) Pierce and Daniel Thompson Pierce. He attended Harvard College.

He married Eleanor (Salzer) Pierce on March 12, 1929, in Denver, Colorado. They had one child during their marriage. In Rye his family lived on Thistle Lane and were members of the Presbyterian Church and Apawamis Club. Daniel was working as a stock broker in Manhattan before entering the service.

Daniel enlisted June 4, 1942. He served as an officer in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.

Daniel T. Pierce, Jr. , Thistle Lane, recently was commissioned a second lieutenant in the Army Air Forces. He temporarily is stationed at Chanute Field, 111. Lieut. Pierce was in the brokerage business before entering the service. He attended Harvard College. Lieut. Pierce is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel T. Pierce of New York City

After his honorable discharge on June 25, 1946, Daniel returned home and resumed his career as a broker. By 1950 he had moved to Princeton NJ and he owned his own brokerage business.

Daniel Thompson Pierce died on May 28, 1985, in Delray Beach, Florida, at the age of 78, and was buried in Washington, District of Columbia.
