Domenic B Minniti

Domenic B Minniti was born July 23, 1927 in New York to Joseph and Santa Surace Minniti. He was the eldest of seven children. Domenic was raised and educated in Rye and was a graduate of Rye High School, class of 1945, where he was an accomplished musician. In Rye his family lived at 37 Cornell Place and later 564 Forest Ave.

Domenic enlisted July 1,1945 and served in the US Navy during World War II. He was a Seaman 2/c and was trained at the U. S. Naval Training Center, Sampson, N. Y. His service number was 716 92 82. (See Navy Muster Rolls)

After his discharge he returned to Rye. By 1950, he ad married his wife Gloria and they would have three children. Domenic's parents owned and operated a Bar and Restaurant at Rye Beach for many years. In 1955, Domenic and his family, including his brother and parents moved to North Miami Beach, FL.

Domenic B Minniti, 82, of North Miami Beach passed away Saturday, November 14, 2009.

At the time of his death, he was survived by 3 children; Diane Bruno, Vincent, Dominic Minniti, Gina Minniti, 3 brothers, Joseph Minniti, Eugene Menet, Frederick Minniti, and 6 sisters, Marcia Greenbaum, Patricia Grubbs , Joann Minniti, Tina Izzo, Polly Mertz, Norma Chiarappa.

Services were held at Boyd-Panciera Hollywood Blvd. Chapel.
