Edward Brewster Prindle Jr.

Edward Brewster Prindle Jr. was born on March 2, 1920, in New York City, New York, to Katherine Elizabeth Hall, age 23, and Edward Brewster Prindle.

He had two sisters and in Rye his family lived at 114 Grandview Ave. Edward was graduated from Lawrenceville, and attended Yale University.

He married Suzanne "Barbara" Hayward on April 11, 1941, in New York, New York. The ceremony took place at St. James Church in New York and was performed by the rector, the Rev. Dr. Horace W. B. Donegan. A reception was given at the Hayward home.

After the wedding, the couple lived in Baltimore, where he was with the British Overseas Airways.

Edward enlisted March 5, 1943 and served as an officer in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. As reported in the Rye Chronicle's August 31,1945 issue "Lieut. Edward Brewster Prindle, Jr., U. S. Air Corps, is now at Clovis, New Mexico, commander of a B-29"

After the war, he and his family lived in Rye and Edward was working as a purchasing manager for Devoe paint Company, in NYC. He and his family would eventually move to Darien, CT and then he would retire to Florida.

Edward Brewster Prindle Jr., 77, of Pompano Beach, FL, died Tuesday, July 29, 1997.

Formerly of Darien, CT, he was survived by sister Pamela Prindle of Panama City, FL; sons Ted Prindle of Tavernier, FL and Petersburg, AK, William Campbell of Newton, CT; daughter Leslie Eckhardt of Fort Lauderdale, FL and grandson Alexander Campbell of Newton, CT.
