George Henry Sullivan


George H. Sullivan was born June 20, 1916 in New York City, he was the son of Alice Betty Sullivan and the late George Sullivan. In Rye he lived at 131 Purchase St, Rye, NY. and was a member of the Church of the Resurrection.

Before the war, George was employed by Time Inc. at 9 Rockefeller Plaza in NYC. He married Miss Anna Knoepfel August 17,1941 in Bronx, NY.

George enlisted and served during World War II and is recognized on the Roll of Honor at Rye City Hall.

George was a television camera man with American Broadcasting Co., Paramount Theatres, New York City and a member of the National Association of Broadcast Employees and Technicians In New York City.

George Henry Sullivan, Rye, 40, died on of Saturday November 2, 1957 at Grasslands Hospital, NY.

At the time of his death, he was survived by his mother who resides in the Bronx, his wife, the former Anna Knoepfel who is employed in the export division of Beechnut-Life Savers Corp of Port Chester; a sister, Mrs. Francis Bradshaw of the Bronx and two nephews, Kenneth and Dennis Bradshaw, also of the Bronx.
