George Edward Lowe

George Edward Lowe was born on February 20, 1926, in Mansfield, Pennsylvania, to Edith Elizabeth Morse, age 27, and Wayne Louis Lowe, age 29. He was raised and educated in Cazenovia, NY. George was a graduate from Cazenovia High School, class of 1943. His father was a teacher and became principal of Rye High School in 1944. In Rye his family lived on Elmwood Avenue,.

George enlisted in 1943 and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a seaman fist class and radioman.

After the war, he attended Union College in New York. George married Anne Howard Kenworthey in Cazenovia, New York, on March 26, 1955, when he was 29 years old and they had two children together. He then married Virginia Lou Hurst on December 8, 1973, in Wilmington, Vermont.

George Edward Lowe died on February 25, 2005, in Willsboro, New York, at the age of 79, and was buried there.

Thanks so much for posting this info about my Dad. I knew he lived in Rye, for a bit, but didn't know this site existed. I can fill in more blanks, if you like, but here's a couple things just off the top of my head:
His middle name was Edward, so his middle initial should be E, not R.
He was born in Mansfield, PA (his folks lived in Troy, PA).
