Gerard W. O'Comsky

Gerard W. OComsky was born on August 28, 1924, in Brooklyn, New York, his father, Anthony, was 48 and his mother, Charlotte, was 39. In Rye his family lived at 36 Orchard Ave and were members of the Church of the Resurrection. Gerard was a Rye High School Graduate, Class of 1942.

He enlisted December 4, 1943, when he was 19 years old and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.

He married Celia Davidson on January 21, 1945, in Warrensburg, Missouri, when he was 20 years old. They had two children during their marriage.

Gerard was a civil engineer for Boeing Aircraft 10 years and the Federal Aviation Administration 18 years before he retired in 1974. He was an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II and a flotilla commander for the Coast Guard Auxiliary

Gerard W O'Comsky died on June 1, 1979, at the age of 54, in San Luis Obispo Califand was buried in Overland Park, Kansas.

At the time of his death he was survived by, his wife Mrs Celia Davidson O'Comsky of the home, a son Gerard W O'Comsky II Glendora Calif, a daughter Miss Carol A O'Comsky of the home and two sisters Mrs Helen Hayward and Miss Mary O'Comsky Onancock Va
