Harold C. Rockett
Harold Challinor Rockett was born on April 13, 1898, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, to Eleanor Annie Mrs Rockett Challinor and William Rockett. he was raised and educated in Bridgeport.

Harold attended Yale for three years before enlisting in the U.S Navy in September, 1918. He attended Steam Engine School and was promoted from seaman 2c to Chief Machinist Mate on October 12, 1918. He was again promoted to Warrant Machinist Mate and then to Ensign August 9, 1919

Harold married Helen Margueret Whitlock on April 21, 1921, in New York City, New York and they had one son, Charles Whitlock Rocket. In Rye his family lived at several locations including 67 Halsted Pl. Harold worked as a broker and salesman in the Silk Industry.

He served as an officer in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a Lt Commander in the Navy and was stationed at San Pedro, CA. After his honorable discharge he returned to Rye.

After his honorable discharge he returned to Rye. He worked as an engineer for a refrigeration manufacturer until relocating to California in the mid 1950's.

Harold died on November 19, 1974, in San Diego, California, at the age of 76.
