My grandfather James McEachern Barr was not accepted in the draft.  You have the correct marriage and parentage, birth and death listed here for my grandfather James McEachearn Barr but the article is for a different man James Marc Barr.  The differences are that my grandfather did his undergraduate at Maryville College TN and then went to New York seminary which is where he was schooling when the US joined the war. He tried to enlist but was rejected due bad vision and flat feet.  You may wish to look up the correct birth and death dates for this veteran instead, and it may help you to consider that the sides name in this article is Rose Harvey, not Ruth, who is my grandmother and the only wife my grandfather ever had.   Water Stuart Barr coincidentally is also one of my grandfather's brothers, the other brother of his being Byrd if that helps to separate the two men to their unique identities.  We may be distantly related, though I would not know how.
