James Robert Perry was born on April 22, 1916, in Franklinton, North Carolina, to Bessie Chavis, age 27, and Marmaduke Perry, age 26.

James Robert Perry married Geneva King in Port Chester, New York, on March 27, 1939, when he was 22 years old. In Rye his family lived at 19 Goldwyn Street.

James enlisted July 29,1943 and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. During the war he was stationed in Memphis, TN

RYE MEN ACCEPTED FOR SERVICE IN ARMY, NAVY AND MARINE CORPS
Frank Robinson, Jr. , 33 Meadow Place, and James Robert Perry, 19 Goldwyn Street, were accepted by the Navy on July 22, and Donald E, Blanchard, 48 Oakland Gardens, by the Marine Corps.

After the war, James and family relocated to Philadelphia and lived in that area for many years.

James Robert Perry 55 of 1725 North 62nd St Philadelphia Pa died week February 26,1972 in the Veterans Hospital of that city

At the time of his death, he was survived by his wife Marie, a son Paul and daughters Maureen and Gail all of the home address two brothers Theodore of Greenwich and Fred of Mount Vernon and a sister Mrs. Effle Pope of Los Angeles He was the nephew of Mrs Mary Levister of Rye
