John A. Iorillo

John A. Iorillo was born in New York in 1911 and lived on 228 Central Ave in the town of Rye, New York. Living with his Father, Dolorato, mother Maria, brothers Dominick and Joseph. The family owned the home that cost $2,200 ($41,800 in current day payment). His father and mother were both born in Italy, while all three boys were born in New York. Growing up in Rye, he and his family were members of the Church of Resurrection.

John enlisted in 1943 and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

John A. Iorillo, Sr. was born in 1911 and passed away in 1981.

He retired as a Dairy Manager for A & P Food Stores. He worked in stores in Port Chester and Larchmont. Mr. Iorillo was active in the Knights of Columbus, rising to a Fourth Degree Knight.

He lived his entire life in Rye, New York, purchasing a home on Radcliff Street. He was married to Bertha Sarno Iorillo. They were parents to John A. Iorillo, Jr. and Maryann H. Iorillo.

Mr. Iorillo had two younger brothers, Joseph Iorillo and Dominick Iorillo who also lived their entire lives in Rye.
