Lewis Fowler MacMillan


Lewis Fowler MacMillan was born on April 29, 1925, in Boston, Massachusetts, to Ruth Gladys Lynds and Elbert Alexander MacMillan. He lived in Needham, Massachusetts, from 1930 to 1935 and moved to Rye, New York, sometime between 1935 and 1940. In Rye his family lived on 3 Fullerton Place. Lewis was a Rye High School Graduate, Class of 1943. After high school he attented Cornell University.

He enlisted and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.

In 1950, Lewis was living with his mother and stepfather in Torrance, CA, working as a chemist at an oil refinery. He married Marylyn F. Hanei September 12, 1959 in Orange County, CA
