Robert Neill McGrath

Robert Neill McGrath was born on March 2, 1909, in Brooklyn, New York, to Julia Ann O'Neill, age 39, and John William McGrath, age 41. He was raised and educated in Brooklyn.

He married Virginia Hughes on March 9, 1934, in Brooklyn. They had one child during their marriage.

In 1940 he was working for working for Hugh McGrath & Co as broker in insurance on his own account. Locally, his family lived on Genesee Trail in Harrison, NY.

Neil is listed On the City of Rye Honor Roll and we have been unable to determine his branch of service during World War II. His draft card description was 5'11", 175 lbs, brown eyes, brown hair, light complexion, left handed.

He and Virginia Hughes were divorced in 1953 in Indian River, Florida, after 19 years of marriage. He was 44 years old.

Robert Neill McGrath died on May 15, 1960, in Bronx, New York, at the age of 51, and was buried in Brooklyn, New York.
