Richard H. Cormany was born in New York in 1919. In Rye his family lived at 109 Bradford Avenue. Richard enlisted and served in the Merchant Marines during World War II.

Services were Monday for Richard Cormany who lived in Lomita for 20 years Bom Dec 31 1919 in New York he died Dec 17 1987 Mr Cormany an engineer for Los Angeles County was a veteran of the merchant marine and a member of both the Marine Square Club and the Society of Port Engineers of San Pedro He also was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association the State Rifle Association and the Masonic Order of New York
He is survived by his wife Christine a son Forrest of Norwalk and a brother Frank of South Carolina Services were at The Gamby Mortuary Lomita with private burial at Green Hills Memorial Park Rancho Palos Verdes
