Robert Davison Stewart was born September 21, 1926 in Manhattan, NY to Elizabeth Holloway and Percy Stewart. In Rye his family lived at 233 Norman Drive and were members of the Presbyterian Church. He attended Lawrenceville School, Lawrenceville N J and was a graduate of the New York Military Academy, class of 1944.

Robert enlisted in 1944 and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Robert D. Stewart, son of Percy Stewart of Greenhaven, left Wednesday to join the U. S. Navy. He was graduated in June from the New York Military Academy.

He received a medical discharge September 9, 1944.

After his discharge he attended Lehigh University. Robert married Ruth Florence Olney January 23, 1954 in Strafford New Hampshire, they had two children during their marriage. Robert was working as a manager for a hearing aid company during the 1950's.
