Robert Leo Sullivan

Robert L. Sullivan was born in New York 16 Aug 1922. In Rye his family lived at 50 Orchard Ave and were members of the Church of the Resurrection. Robert was a Rye High School Graduate, Class of 1941. He enlisted and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Robert married Olive Estelle Anderson January 15,1944 at St. John's Catholic Church in Alvin ,TX.


He had been a resident of Santa Fe for 48 years, previously of La Marque. He had been employed at Union Carbide for 37 years as an operator and served in the US Navy during WWII.

SANTA FE- Robert L. (Bob) Sullivan passed from this life Saturday morning, July 12, 2003, in Texas City.

Preceded in death by his wife, Estelle in 2000, survivors included his sons and daughters-in-law, James R. Sullivan, of Santa Fe, Michael and Darlene Sullivan, of Moss Bluff, Louisiana, David and Becky Sullivan, of Santa Pe; grandchildren, Jeremiah, Jenny and Jacob Sullivan, all of Santa Fe, Ryan and Ginger Williams, of Austin, and Kim and Scott Mathes, of Houston.


Graveside services were conducted, Monday, July 14, 2003,at Galveston Memorial Park Cemetery, with Pastor John Newton officiating.

Yes I remember Bob Sullivan who lived on Orchard Ave across the street

From what was called at the time “The Dancing School.”    Bob was always

Friendly    but was much older and did not participate in our games on

Orchard Avenue…like football, softball, etc.

Don’t know much about his parents - never saw his Dad outside in the front

Of his house.   He lived near the Talento’s on Orchard.    I’ll ask around and
