Victor Anthony Sankey Robinson
Victor Anthony Sankey Robinson was born on February 8, 1922, in Montréal, Quebec, Canada, to Sylvia Violet Sankey and Theodore Chalone Robinson. He grew up in Westchester, his family living in Larchmont, Scarsdale and Rye. Victor attended the University of North Carolina.
Victor enlisted July 13, 1942 and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. During the war he served with the 9th Air Force overseas.
The Ninth Air Force (9th AF) was the primary tactical arm of the United States Army Air Forces in the European Theater during World War II. He married Amy Abraham on December 18, 1948, in Norfield Congregational Church, Weston, Connecticut. The pastor, the Rev. Bradley T. Morse, officiated, and a small reception for the families and intimate friends was held at the home of the bridegroom's brother, Peter C. Robinson. They couple would have three children during their marriage.
In 1948 he was studying at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. In the 1950 Census he might have changed his name to Victor Duffield. He and his wife were living in NYC and he was self employed as a Free Lance Painter.
