Arnold L. Rose

Arnold Rose was born on October 4, 1909, in New York City to Minna Levy and Julius Rose. He and his brother Stanley were raised and educated in Manhattan

He married his wife Lillian and they had one daughter. In Rye his family lived on Grace Church Street. In 1940 Arnold owned his own business and was working in Manhattan.

Arnold enlisted March 5, 1943 and served as an officer in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II. He rose to the rank of Lieutenant and was honorably discharged June 18, 1946.

After the war he moved to Los Angeles. In 1950 he owned his own manufacturing company making stretchers and steel cabinets, it would become Columbia Steel Kitchens, the largest manufacturer in Southern California. He later would become a Hollywood agent and artist representative.

Arnold L Rose died on July 29, 1962, at the age of 52, and was buried in Los Angeles, California.

by Mount Sinai Mortuary yesterday in Mount Sinai chapel. Born in Poland, he resided in the local area for 16 years, making his home at 7596 Mulholland Dr. A veteran World World War II, he died Sunday in Sawtelle Veterans Hospital, leaving his widow Lillian; a daughter, Miss Therese Rose of the home address; his parents Mr. and Mrs. Julius Rose, Desert Hot Springs and a brother, Stanley, Los Angeles. Interment was in Mount Sinai Memorial Park.
