Comments for “Lawrence, William E. Jr.

  1. To clarify, Dad, William E. Lawrence, Jr., may have begun his civilian career as an appliance salesman, but was the GM of County Hardware and Friendly Frost. He then owned Lawrence TV and Appliances at the Rye Ridge Shopping Center from 1962 until 1969. Following the sale of that business, he “retired” to Jacksonville, Florida. There he began a second career in shopping mall management. Notably he was the first manager of Landover Mall in Maryland, which was at that time, the largest enclosed mall in the US.
