Description

Edwin T. Taylor was born in Connecticut on 10/28/1934. He moved to Rye when he was 2 years old and lived on 68 Purchase Street, with his father Edward, mother Bridie, two older sisters Margret, Edith and younger brother William. Edwin’s father was born in Indiana in 1906, and worked as a property manager. His mother was born in an Irish Free State in 1905 and was a stay at home mom. Edwin attended Rye High School and graduated in 1952. During his time at Rye he excelled as a student and was actively involved in many academic clubs including the advanced French club. He was also very skillful in math and science as he took these classes in advanced courses. During the Korean War, Edwin served in the U.S. Army.

dwin T. Taylor, 72, died Sept. 28, 2007, at Stuart Nursing & Restorative Care Center. He was born in Meriden, Conn., and was a resident of Palm City, moving from Wellington. He was an accountant. He was a member of the Stuart Rotary International. Survivors include his wife, Barbara A. Taylor; sisters; brother; children; and six grandchildren. Memorial donations may be sent to 4C, P.O. Box 512, Palm City, FL 34991-0512. SERVICES: Cremation is by The Neptune Society.
