Hollister, Richard Parker

Richard was born. September 29, 1926, in St. Johnsbury VT, the son of Harold E. and Christie (White) Hollister.

His siblings included two brothers, Harold and Walter, and a sister Jane. Richard and his family lived at 43 Oakwood Avenue in Rye, New York and were members of the Presbyterian Church.

He was was a graduate of Middlebury college. He attended Rollins university in Florida and served in the Navy during World’ War II.

Richard P. Hollister died Thursday January 6, 1949, he was 22 years old. Services were conducted in the Corinth Rural cemetery. The Rev. Steward Day, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, officiated.

Besides his parents he was survived by two brothers, Harold H. and Walter M. Hollister; a sister, Jane Hollister, all of Rye; his paternal grandmother, Mrs. A, M. Hollister, of Corinth, and his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Daisy White
