Curtice “C.” Bickford Henchey was born on February 11, 1929. His father was Paul E. Henchey, who was born in Kentucky in 1903. Paul E. Henchey moved to Rye, New York and was a Stockbroker. He married Dorothy Henchey, mother to C. Bickford Henchey, who was born in 1907 in New York. Bickford had a younger brother, Paul E. Henchey Junior, who was born in 1932. C. Bickford Henchey lived at 9 Glendale Avenue in Rye, New York with his brother and both of his parents. Bickford attended Rye High School and graduated in the class of �47. Following high school, Henchey attended the Wharton School of Finance and Commerce of the University of Pennsylvania class of �52. He was also a member of the Apawamis Club and Shenorock Shore Club in Rye, New York and the St. Anthony Club of New York. C. Bickford Henchey went on to proudly serve his country during the Korean War.

Curtice Bickford (“Bick”) Henchey, of Rye Brook, NY, died peacefully at home Thursday, September 6, 2007 at the age of 78. He was born February 11, 1929 in New York City to Dorothy Curtice Bickford and Paul Egan Henchey. He graduated from Kent School in 1947 and received a BS from the Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania in 1952 where he was a member of the Delta Psi Fraternity. He started his career at IBM, then went on to work for various international banks before starting his own successful Outplacement Consulting firm. An avid sailor, he was a member of the New York Yacht Club and kept very active through his last day sailing, camping, beagling, ice skating, playing squash and traveling the world. He is survived by his beloved wife, Ruthie Henchey; two daughters, Hope Henchey Scully of White Plains, NY and Winnie Henchey of Malden, MA; a brother, Paul E. Henchey of Philadelphia, PA and two grandchildren, Lauren Bridget Scully and Curtice James Scully. A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at Christ Church in Rye, NY at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Endowed Scholarship Fund at Kent School, Alumnae Development Office P.O. Box 2006 Kent, CT 06757.
