WARREN CRAM AGRY JR.

Warren Cram Agry was born on June 9, 1923, in Evanston, Illinois, his father, Warren, was 33 and his mother, Marian, was 34. He had two sisters Marion and Ann Agry. In Rye his family lived at 377 Hidden Spring Lane and were members of the Presbyterian Church. Warren enlisted in 1944 and served in the Merchant Marines during World War II.

Warren Agry, son of Warren and Marian Agry, was born June 9, 1923 in Chicago, Illinois. A graduate of Deerfield Academy, he received a B.A. from Dartmouth College and an M.B.A from the Amos Tuck School of Business Administration. He served throughout the years as a class agent for both institutions.

In 1991 he received an award from his Deerfield Class of 1941 in appreciation for his outstanding service as class agent. An award was subsequently established by the Academy in his name to honor annual reunion class giving.

Warren was employed by the Simmons Company for over 30 years. At the time of his death, he served as Office Manager for the Cheyenne Group, a real estate appraisal firm located in Stamford, Connecticut.

A long term resident of Rye, New York, he was a member of the Rye Presbyterian Church where he served as an elder, deacon and choir member. He also sang with a number of choral groups in Greenwich and Atlanta and under the direction of Sir David Wilcox, both in the U.S. and Europe.

Agry was a life-long member of the Apawamis Club and previously served on its Board of Governors. He was active in golf, tennis and squash programs throughout his over 50 years association with the Club.

WARREN CRAM AGRY, JR. of Greenwich, Connecticut, died on July 12th, 2005. He was 82. His wife Nancy Vogt Agry predeceased him in 2000. He was survived by his son Bradford W. Agry of New York City.
