Peter James Rahill was born on September 22nd, 1930 in Bronx, NY. His father, Bernard H Rahill, mother, Marion A Vanagner, sister, Rosemary, and Peter lived at 33 Sanford St, Rye, NY. Peter was a Rye High School graduate, class of 1949. During the Korean War, Peter served in the U.S. Navy – USS Missouri. After the war, Peter became an architectural artist, while also creating pencil drawings of historical landmarks. He met his wife, Eilleen, who passed away in 2015, at Quincy College and raised a family in Larchmont, NY. His five children are Kathy Banks, Tom Rahill, Susan Johnson, Rosemary Couchot, and Michael Rahill. As of 2001, he had eight loving grandchildren. His architectural prints can be found in the Hudson Valley as well as in Ft. Lauderdale.As an artist he was described as “unique” and as a person he was “loved by many.” He died on April 19th, 2001 in his home in Ft. Lauderdale, FL at the age of 70.

Peter James Rahill, architectural artist, formerly of Rye, NY, Central Valley, NY, and Nyack, NY, died at his home in Ft. Lauderdale, FL on April 19, 2001 at the age of 70.
He was born September 22, 1930 in Bronx, NY. He is survived by the mother of his five children, Eileen Rahill of Monroe, NY; and children, Kathy Banks of Miami, FL, Tom Rahill of Plantation, FL, Susan Johnson of Monroe, NY, Rosemary Couchot of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Michael Rahill of Melrose, MA; and one sister, Rosemary Angelilli of Crestwood, NY; eight grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Rahill was one of the nation’s foremost architectural artists and also created pencil drawings of historic landmarks. Many of his prints are displayed in Hudson Valley, NY and in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
As an artist he was unique and as a man he was loved by many. He will be greatly missed.
