Robert Ferdinand Lux

Robert Ferdinand Lux was born on October 18, 1913, in Schenectady, New York, to Edna Maxwell Little, age 25, and George Phillip Friedrich Lux, age 26.

He was a graduate of Rye Neck High School, attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where he was a member of Phi Epsilon Phi fraternity, and was graduated from Rutgers University in 1938.

Before the war he was an engineer with the Compensation Insurance Rating Board in New York City.

He married Frances Harvey on July 15, 1939, in Rye, New York. The ceremony was performed at he Rye Presbyterian Church by the Rev. John D. Gregory, minister. A reception on the lawn at the church followed. They had two children during their marriage. In Rye the family lived at 1 Stuyvesant Ave.

Robert Ferdinand Lux enlisted in U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He died on December 26, 1999, at the age of 86.
