Frank Walter Cochran

Frank Walter Cochran was born on February 23, 1900, in New York, New York To Frank G. and Angela Hart.

Frank attended Manhattan College and he married Marie Isabelle Brulatour on May 17, 1922, in Putnam, New York. In Rye his family lived at 206 Rye Road and Frank was a member of the Rye Volunteer Auxiliary Police .

Frank served as an officer in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II.

Captain Frank Cochran of the Emergency Squad, Rye Volunteer Auxiliary Police, will leave for duty with the Coast Guard, at the end of this month. Named as successor to Captain Cochran in the post of captain of the Emergency Squad is Auxiliary Policeman J. M. After the war Frank and his wife moved to Long Branch, NJ. He was president of the Frank W.
Cochran Corp. of Allenhurst, an investment firm.

As a hobby, Frank kept an aviary at his oceanfront estate for 35 years. It comprised more than 200 birds, including seven different varieties from all continents.

He was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church, Deal, and a member of the Deal Golf Club and the New York Athletic Club.

Frank W. Cochran of 1265 Ocean Ave., Long Branch, NJ died Tuesday November 10, 1964 at his home.

At the time of his death, he was survived by his wife, Mrs. Marie Brulatour Cochran; a sister, Mrs. Angela Cercio of Allenhurst; and a brother, Edmund W. Cochran of Sunnyside, N.Y. Services were held atBuckley Funeral Home, Asbury Park, with a High Mass of Requiem at St. Mary’s Church..
